Inmate Visitation

Visits – 

Inmates may have visitation once they have made their first court appearance and are assigned to a permanent housing unit. All visitations are conducted via video.  Visits can be purchased as follows:

  • On-site Visit:             1 free for 30 minutes per inmate, per week
                                             Additional 30 minutes for $9.00 per inmate, per day
  • Remote (Online):    Each visit can last up to 15 minutes at a time for $.25 a minute.

On-site visitors will have to schedule their visits at least one to seven days in advance. Visitations will be scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. We no longer accept same-day walk-in visits. Visitation times are:

Video (Remote) Visitation - 

PCADC  will be offering remote Video Visitation services through GTL’s GettingOut Visit Now service. With video visitation options, incarcerated individuals and their friends and family can connect more frequently and personally, which helps boost morale, increase positivity, and strengthen relationships. 

Ways to Video Visit 

Remote Video Visits: Accept video visits on the go! Your incarcerated loved one can initiate a video visit with you through the GTL Tablet without needing to schedule ahead of time.  

Next Steps: You’ll need a GettingOut account* and the GettingOut Visits mobile app download on your Android or iOS to receive video visits. Be sure to be signed into the mobile app and have push notifications turned on. 

* If you already have a ConnectNetwork account, the same credentials can be used to log into GettingOut. 

The remote visit rate is $0.25 per minute. These visits are only charged for the visit time you use.

Visitation Times

  • Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Sunday through Saturday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Visitation is not available on Federal Holidays.

All on-site visitors are to report to the Main Jail Front Desk, located at 1270 W. Silverlake Road, Tucson, Az 85713 15 minutes prior to the scheduled visitation time. Please have a valid photo identification.

All visits will start and end at the scheduled times, regardless of arrival time. Late arrival may result in the cancellation of the visit.

Scheduling a Visit

All visits must be scheduled online at pimacountyaz.gtlvisitme.com or at the kiosk machine located in the main entrance lobby. How many can visit?

No more than 4 people may visit at a time. Juveniles must be accompanied by at least one adult. Children must be controlled and cannot be left unattended at any time.

Visitor Identification

Visitors must have a current photo ID, e.g., driver's license, DES ID card, Arizona ID card, Military ID, Passport, Travel Visa, U.S. B1/B2 Visa and Border Crossing card, Resident Alien card or Work permit. All ID's must have a photo, date of birth, and current address. Check cashing cards will not be accepted.

Special Visits/Circumstances

To request a special visit schedule your normal visit for the date and time and call the Jail Visits Hotline at (520)351-8114 or (520)351-8111.  Leave your full name, date, time of the scheduled visit, confirmation number, phone number and request an extended visit. Someone will call you back to assist you. 

Special Notes:

  • All visitation is subject to unforeseen lock-down and other situations which may postpone or cancel all visitation.
  • Inmates who are on disciplinary lockdown are not permitted visitation.
  • There is no charge for lockers. You will be asked to properly secure your belongings prior to starting your visit.
  • Juvenile inmates cannot receive visits until after 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but are allowed visits during regular hours on Saturday and Sunday.

PUBLIC AND ONLINE REMOTE VISITATION RESTRICTIONS

VISITOR/INMATE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR REMOTE AND ONSITE VIDEO VISITATION

PCADC/VIAPATH reserves the right to cancel, interrupt, or restrict visitors and visitation due to any rule violations or conduct that disrupts the safety and security of the facility, staff, or inmates.

1) GENERAL REMOTE VISITATION RULES:

a. All personal (non-privileged) video visits are subject to monitoring and recording by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and ViaPath Technologies.

b. Objects in your residence, including but not limited to furniture, photographs, or other personal items, may not be visible behind you during your visit.

c. Visitors must be at least 18 years old to have an approved PCADC/VIAPATH/ViaPath visitation “Friends and Family” account to have a remote video visit.

d. Visitors under the age of 18 must always be accompanied on-screen by the adult account holder during a visit at all times.

e. “Friends and Family” are only permitted to create 1 (one) account and must use their own account. Any additional (duplicate) accounts will be suspended and blocked from further use.

f. “Friends and family” may only use their account. The use of another account will result in a restriction being placed on that account, and that account is subject to being blocked from future use. If the use of another account is attempted by a person already on restriction, that restriction may be extended for additional rule violations.

g. All inmates and visitors must be visible and able to be identified during the entire visit. If either party is unable to be identified, you will receive a warning first, then the visit will be terminated, and additional restrictions may be placed on the account(s). Inmate tablets MUST be placed on the NFC visit stations for ALL visits, and the camera must not be covered.

h. Rules regarding dress code, use of electronic devices, drug activity, and other inappropriate conduct while onscreen during visits will be strictly enforced. Violation of any of the rules will result in the cancellation of the visit and will result in a 30-day suspension on the visitor account, could lead to the visitor being barred from further visitation at the discretion of PCADC/VIAPATH staff, and the inmate may be subject to additional action.

i. You may NOT conduct a video visit while the Vehicle is in motion. Even if you are only a passenger.

 

2) ILLICIT BEHAVIOR/ACTIVITY:

a. Nudity, self-stimulation, or ANY form of sexual activity by either the visitor or the inmate will not be tolerated.

b. Note: Violation of these rules will result in the cancellation of the visit, will result in a 30-day suspension, and could lead to you being barred from further visitation at the discretion of PCADC/VIAPATH staff. It is not required that PCADC/VIAPATH staff see genitalia or explicit activity of any kind to impose a 30-day restriction or a permanent ban. 

c. Display, use, or consumption of drugs, alcohol, or Paraphernalia, looking like you're intoxicated or inebriated during a visit will result in visit termination and 30-day restrictions being placed on the account.

 

3) DRESS CODE: Onsite and remote

All visitors and inmates must always remain fully and properly dressed for a visit.

Violations of the dress code include, but are not limited to:

a. Wearing see-through clothing, sheer blouses, or excessively revealing clothing.

b. Any full or partial nudity.

c. Wearing swimming attire.

d. Clothing, which is above mid-thigh, including cutoff shorts.

e. Display of any undergarments.

f. Wearing tank tops, halter tops, or any garment that may expose excessive cleavage.

g. Excessively tight clothing.

h. Wearing clothing that may display paraphernalia, drugs, specific gang affiliation, name, insignia, or logos.

i. Footwear must be worn for all on-site visits.

j. Inmates may NOT wear any kind of headwear unless it is an approved religious item worn appropriately.

k. Inmates must be fully dressed during the entire visit. Proper shirt and pants. No modified/ripped shirts are allowed

 

4) ELECTRONIC DEVICES:

a. No taking of any photos or video recordings of inmate(s).

b. Displaying of any secondary cell phone, tablet, PC, or any other electronic device during visits will result in a warning being issued IF it continues, a 30 restriction will be imposed

c. 3-way calls or visits are not allowed and will be terminated, and your visitation privileges will be suspended for 30 days.

d. Inmates may NOT request, and friends & family may NOT photograph, record, or live stream any Inmate during the visit.

e. No access to computers for social media, such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.

f. Posting messages or photos on behalf of inmates will result in a 30-day restriction.

g. Relaying messages to any other party will result in a 30-day restriction.

h. Broadcasting ANY television, music, gaming, or any web-based Programming will result in a 30-day visit restriction.

 

5) OTHER CONDUCT:

a. Inmates or visitor(s) MAY NOT engage in ANY gang activity or gang business. No showing gang tattoos, gang hand signs, or displaying gang colors.

b. Inmates are not allowed to have other inmates participate in any way during a visit.

c. Visitors MAY NOT visit with multiple inmates. Visitors MAY ONLY visit with the inmate account holder. If a visitor visits with anyone other than the scheduled inmate account holder, a 30-day restriction will be placed on the visitor, and both inmates are subject to disciplinary action and/or a 15-day suspension per occurrence.

d. Inmates who relay messages will be subject to disciplinary action.

e. Verbal abuse or threats by either party will result in visit termination and possible suspension.

f. No one shall threaten, coerce, or manipulate another to violate any rule.

g. Knowingly/willingly accepting a call from I/M not using their own account will result in a 30-day                                           suspension

 

Violation of these restrictions will lead to termination of your “remote visitation” and subsequent suspension of your visitation privileges. A notification will be sent to the email address you registered with concerning your suspension. You will also be provided with information for appealing your suspension.
