Online Reporting

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department (PCSD) has launched a new reporting tool designed to enhance the user experience for community members needing to report non-emergency incidents. The platform, DORS or Desk Officer Reporting System, allows the community to report minor issues online.

DORS is accessible through computers, smartphones, and tablets, offering a fast and efficient way to report minor problems. This system will expedite the reporting process and provide users with essential documentation for their records.

If this is an emergency, please call 9-1-1.

Desk Officer Reporting System Transcript

(00:01) Hi, I’m Chris Nanos, your Pima County Sheriff.

(00:04) Our department is using technology to help better serve you.

(00:08) DORS, or the Desk Officer Reporting System, is another way for PCSD to provide you with excellent customer service.

(00:16) This service is for issues we consider to be minor in nature.

(00:20) For crimes in progress or something life-threatening, please call 911.

(00:25) However, this program allows you to file a report for minor problems much, much faster.

(00:30) That means we’ll get the information we need, and you get the right documentation for things like car insurance for minor vehicle accidents.

(00:38) Here are just a few examples of the issues you can report on DORS:

(00:42) Animal problems, barking dogs, identity theft, minor private property crashes, traffic complaints, and even some vandalism or graffiti.

(00:52) DORS is an online program that you can use with a computer, tablet, or cell phone.

(00:58) Reporting minor crimes online will free up deputies for emergency calls for service.

(01:03) Although this system allows you to get things done without a deputy, my deputies will always respond when you need them.

(01:09) If you want a deputy, you’ll get a deputy. Always.

(01:12) My goal with this program is to provide our community with better customer service, give you another option to report minor issues fast and complete, and free up my deputies for those higher priority calls for service.

(01:25) One thing to keep in mind: when in doubt, just report it. Call 911.

(01:30) The more we know, the more we can help make our community safer.

(01:34) Thank you, and stay safe, Pima County.
